Lumil

Much like natural light, Lumil — lumière-mobile — is a device that produces "living" light: it adorns the space with luminous patterns created by the reflection of its source. These light motifs come to life with the slightest breeze.
Vibrations, whether accidental or intentional, shift the lighting mood from midnight blue to solar orange, echoing the rhythm of the natural world.
2024
Interface
Halos
An experiment on the coexistence of interactions. The cursor simulates a human presence that "awakens" the light as it passes. In the background, a slower data set — the outdoor temperature — infuses its own temporality into the evolving hues of the space. The rhythm of climate data intertwines with that of the body to dictate the system's chromatic cycles and light intensity.

Photography
The "Rai" Relics

A series capturing the optical phenomenon of caustics: patterns created when light is reflected and refracted by surfaces I deform by hand. Like a relic, the photograph becomes an archive of these fleeting, evanescent phenomena — the result of manual gestures meeting the unpredictable behaviour of matter.
2019
Interface
Drafter
An edgeless interface exploring free-form, iterative, and spatial input, akin to intuitive writing.

Light and Relief

Light reflections in dialogue with architecture. Appearing unexpectedly on a cornice, a moulding, or a wall corner, these reflections reveal architectural details in a new light. Freed from its primary function of illumination, light becomes a silent presence guiding the viewer's gaze.
2024
Interface
Transient Glossary
A semantic generator that produces random word associations between celestial bodies and adjectives. These serve as a "poetic brief," shaping the development of abstract atmospheres to be translated into sensory devices.

Luminothèque

The result of an experimental process, the Luminothèque is an evolving directory of light effects — lines, blurs, shadows, caustics — that I am continually enriching. It serves as a creative foundation for my future light-based projects.
2019
Installation
Sonic Imprints

An installation exploring sound as a visual material, inspired by the Lissajous experiment. Here, the sonic frequencies of Aphex Twin's Windowlicker drive a reflected laser beam, resulting in hypnotic, curved patterns.
